Patricia Ordaz Cruz


Patricia Ordaz Cruz (CDMX, 1986) is a director and screenwriter graduated in Communication Sciences from the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She also studied scriptwriting at the University of California Santa Bárbara. In 2014 she took part in the Master in Creative Documentary at Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University.

In his film work he often reflects on themes around origin, belonging and migration from a contemporary perspective. Interests that are shown in Toloriu (Spain, 2020), his first feature-length documentary, and in Los Espejos (Mirrors. Mexico, 2024), a fiction short film in post-production.

While living in Spain, Patricia worked on the development and research of projects by renowned Catalan directors such as Lluís Galter, Neus Ballús and Carla Simón. She has also been co-producer of works such as the medium-length documentary La Concorrente (Spain - Italy, 2016) by director Alberto Diana and the short film La Banquisa (Mexico - Spain, 2022) by Sergio H. Martín.

She’s currently part of the original series development team for Paramount México and works  on the script for his first fiction feature film, Sierra Sur.
